FREQUENTLY ASKED
Questions answered
How do I know if I’m in perimenopause or menopause?
Symptoms can sometimes overlap with other conditions, so it’s not always straightforward to identify. Speaking with a GP can help you better understand what may be causing your symptoms.
.
What support is available for menopause symptoms?
There are a range of ways to manage menopause symptoms. We can talk you through your options and help you decide on the next steps based on your individual situation.
.
Is this confidential?
Yes. All consultations are private and secure.
How quickly can I get an appointment?
Often the same day, depending on availability.
What is the fee for a consultation?
We strive to make booking a consultation simple and easy with fees explained up front. A one-hour initial consultation is £220. The fees for follow-up appointments tend to be lower.
What happens during a menopause consultation?
You’ll have time to discuss your symptoms, medical history, and any concerns. The aim is to help you understand what may be happening and talk through appropriate next steps.
Can I be referred to a specialist if needed?
Yes, if you need further care, we’ll help guide you to the right specialist. If appropriate, we can refer you directly to a trusted specialist in the private sector, helping to keep things moving without unnecessary delays. If NHS care is the best option for you, your NHS GP will usually need to make that referral. With your permission, we’ll write to your GP with a clear summary of your treatment plan and our recommendations for next steps, making the process as straightforward as possible. We’ll support you throughout, so you always know what to do next and feel confident about your care.
Can my NHS GP continue my treatment?
With your permission, we’ll contact your NHS GP directly to share a detailed letter with the plan and next steps. We do recommend that you follow up with your GP after your appointment, just to make sure everything has been received and arranged. If there are ever any questions or concerns, we’re here to help support both you and your GP. If for any reason your GP is unable to take over prescribing, please don’t worry—we’ll talk you through your options and continue to support you in finding the best way forward.
